Materials For the makers

Bringing the quality and character of our British-made materials into the hands of those who create.

Made in britain

High-performance coated fabrics. Made in Britain. Made to last.

We support the makers, upholsterers, designers and buyers who need materials they can trust for their design quality as much as their durability. Ambla designs and manufactures performance faux leather fabrics from its Lancashire production site, where coated materials have been made for generations.
Our fabrics are developed for real-world environments where durability, hygiene, compliance and appearance must work together without compromise.
The story of Ambla Fabrics

Our in-house design capability allows us to develop contemporary colour palettes, embossings and bespoke finishes that align with evolving interior trends, while remaining grounded in technical feasibility.

Crafted for Performance

Every Ambla faux leather begins with a carefully selected base cloth, finished with a technically engineered coating designed for strength, flexibility and cleanability.

Because we manufacture in-house, we control the process from formulation through to finishing. That control allows us to deliver consistency — in colour, specification and performance — across every order.

It is this balance of engineering discipline and practical experience that makes Ambla a trusted material for makers, specifiers and operational teams alike.

##### Responsible
by Design

We do not shy away from the fact that faux leather is a coated material. Its durability is what allows it to meet high standards of hygiene, fire performance and longevity.

For us, responsibility begins with making materials that last — reducing replacement cycles and supporting long-term use.
